Calvary sculpture group
Sacral small monument
The group of statues was erected in 1739 by the Szent-Imrey family of Krasznikvajda out of gratitude that no one from the family fell victim to the plague of 1738. The inscription on the pedestal also refers to this. During the nearly 300 years, the statues have always remained in their original place, in the mill garden. The figures of Mary and Saint John have now completely disappeared. Their renovation took place on the occasion of the renovation of the nearby steam mill, in 2014. The statues of the Virgin Mary and Saint John, as well as the renovation of the pedestal and cross of the statue group, were made by János Lukács, a sculptor from Szeps. ; The inscriptions on the pedestals of the statues are original. What is interesting is that one of the inscriptions contains the date of creation, encoded in Roman numerals.
