Note: ; We have recorded Jánosík's acquisition of knowledge and capture in two text versions. In the version told in October 2004, the story of Jánosík's capture is expanded with the motif of depriving him of magical power. "Don't do anything to him, bring a bag of peas, sprinkle them under his feet! He will slip on them. Then you have to cut off his trouser leg. So they scattered a bag of peas under Jánosík's feet, his trouser leg slipped on them, when he bent down, they suddenly cut off his trouser leg. That's how they defeated Jánosík." In this version, the motif of the test resulting in the acquisition of supernatural power is missing. June 2003: He overhears the witches' conversation, wets his hump and passes the test.
