Statue, monument, memorial plaque

On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Gyula Juhász, and in memory of his teaching in Szakolca between 1911-1913, on April 7, 2008, Hungarian Chancellor Péter Kiss and Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Dušan Čaplovič unveiled a commemorative plaque on the wall of the Szakolca Gymnasium (the former Roman Catholic High School). ; Several poems commemorate the six hundred days in Szakolca.
