"(...) the door of the grandfather's office opened onto the street" - Zoltán Szénássy, honorary president of the Jókai Public Education and Museum Association. ; 1. Sámuel Jókay settled in Ógyallá in 1710. ; Jókai Mór's father József, who started his law practice in Ógyallá, spent nine months with his wife, Mária Pulay, in the family mansion from 1812 with "the old family", 3. With the Jókays. 3. Sámuel Jókay's children: József, Zsuzsanna, Dániel, Jolanna, Zsigmond, one of their children died at a young age. (Szénássy) ; Zsigmond and his wife became the owners of the mansion (they probably had an L-shaped conversion carried out). (Cf. Resko) ; "In connection with our church, it should be mentioned that the ancestors of our great writer and storyteller Mór Jókai come from here and his grandfather Sámuel Jókai was the curator of the church. There are several entries in the presbytery records, and his signature can be found. Mór Jókai himself spent many lovely days in Ógyalla" - Pastor Tímea Erdélyi. ; "A part of the wrought-iron fence with a pillar remains from the former mansion." (Cf.
