Statue, monument, plaque
The mansion at number 56 was built by the Csorba family in the first half of the 19th century. It is a ground-floor building with an L-shaped ground plan, with an open, pillared corridor on the courtyard side. The lawyer Károly Jókay (1814-1902), who was born into the Csorba family, married Klára Csorba. In his youth, Károly's brother, the world-famous Hungarian writer Mór Jókai, often stayed here. Later, he often visited his brother. The mansion was bought by entrepreneur Lajos Kiss. The main wing was originally longer, but part of it was demolished to build a family house. The local folk construction method influenced its construction style. ; A memorial plaque was placed on the wall of the house standing on the site of the former Jókay mansion in 1996.
