Jeszenszky Sándor, son of István Jeszenszky, a public landowner, farmer and Teréz Pratser, younger brother of Zsigmond Jeszenszky (his grave is in Csejte), captain of the '48 Hungarian Army. Born in Galgóc in 1825. Baptized in Felsőzéllé on Oct. 16 (evangelical). His wife was Franciska Szulyovszky from Szulyó and Karomi, who died in Vágújhely in 1905. ; Dec. 1, 1848. Joined the 16th Hungarian Army Battalion in Nitra. Sergeant on March 16, 1849. Jul. (1.)- Lieutenant in his separate 6th company, in the Kazinczy Division, until the surrender of the Zsibo army (August 25, 1849). ; Farmed on his estate until his death. He died in Vágújhely on June 15, 1907. ; A greyish-black, granite, obelisk-like tombstone on the grave on the right side, along the lime tree row in the middle of the Vágújhely cemetery.
