District Court

Postcard

The historic building of the Dunaszerdahely District Court was built by József Wyberál at the beginning of the twentieth century, after the president of the Bratislava court ordered the construction of the district court based on the decision of the Kingdom of Hungary. A few years later, the building was expanded with a guardhouse and prisons, which were used until 1956. The building also housed several other offices, previously the land registry office, the state notary and the district prosecutor's office were also located here. ; The photo on the postcard was taken after the reunification in 1938. You can see the place of the Hungarian coat of arms on the facade, which was removed after the 1920 Trianon decision.
