He was born in Budapest on March 16, 1942, and in 1944, his family returned to the then Hungarian city of Nagymegyer to escape the siege. He graduated from the Bratislava Pedagogical Vocational School. Between 1967 and 1973, he was the conductor of the Komárom Workers' Choir of the Agreement. From 1968, he was the head of the art department of the Dunaszerdahely District Folk Culture Center. Between 1987 and 2002, he was the director of the Dunaszerdahely City Cultural Center. ; In Dunaszerdahely, in 1973, he was one of the founders of the basic organization of the Csemadok and the city choir, later the Bartók Béla Mixed Choir. He also led choirs in Csilizradvány, Komárom, Nagymegyer, Csallóközaranyos, Pozsonyeprzyce and Alistál. He was a founding member of the Central Choir of Hungarian Teachers in Czechoslovakia. ; His work was recognized with a silver plaque from the Government of the Slovak Republic (2006).
