The grave of Ivan Bela

According to the minutes of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Church District of Dunáninnen, Béla Iván, the deputy teacher of the Bratislava Lyceum, was appointed a regular teacher there on June 24, 1910. The minutes of the regular general assembly of the church district held in Bratislava in August 1912 record the following: "There was a change in the teaching staff of the Lyceum in the current school year. To the true pain and sadness of all of us, Béla Iván Rezső, the art teacher, passed away on September 24, 1911, at the age of 27 and in the 5th year of its operation. The Lyceum mourns a teacher who passed away in the prime of his life, who, due to his excellent talent, could look forward to a future that gave him the most beautiful hopes. May the memory of the one who passed away early be blessed!"; As a freehand drawing teacher at the Lutheran Lyceum in Bratislava, as a young artist, "he was a supporter of naturalism, he had still lifes and landscapes drawn or painted after nature, in charcoal drawings and oil paintings," writes Štefan Krčméry.
