Vitéz Ibos István Kopasz and his wife, born Zsámbok Piros, were the helpers and treasurers of folk song collectors and collectors of folk traditions. Zoltán Kodály also collected folk songs in Balog. Some of the materials collected by István Ibos were sent to the Ethnographic Museum in Budapest. Tibor Ág also collected from them.
