Heroes' Monument

In the year 2000, the inauguration of the monument took place within the framework of the millennium celebrations in Baka, which commemorates the heroes of the 1848/49 revolution and freedom struggle, as well as the soldiers who fell in World War I and II. ; ; The festive mass was celebrated by Dr. Pál Bolberitz, abbot of the Faculty of Theology at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, together with his brother priests. ; ; At the monument, Ferenc Kornfeld, the head of the Jewish community of Dunaszerdahely, said a prayer for the victims of the Holocaust in Baka in Hebrew and Hungarian. ; ; The monument was created by György Lipcsei, a sculptor from Dunaszerdahely.
