The memorial to the local victims of World War I and World War II was inaugurated on May 8, 2010, sixty-five years after the end of the Great Fire. The memorial, erected in the churchyard, bears the names of sixty-four heroic soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their homeland, their land, and their families. The work by Nyergesújfalu sculptor Kálmán Varga B. also features the symbols of the village, which is guarded by the mythological bird of Hungarian origin, the turul.
