Hölvény Reformed Church bell tower and World War I memorial plaque
Building, structure
The Reformed bell tower in the Hölvény settlement of Nagysalló was built in 1930. On the right wall of the building, there is a memorial plaque to the Hölvény residents who fell in World War I, which was also made in 1930. ; At the suggestion of teacher János Vida, the belfry was built in 1930, in which the 135 kg bell named "Peace" was placed, in memory of the heroic dead of the 1914-18 war. The bell was consecrated on November 22, 1930, which had to be stopped due to the sudden storm and hail, and was only held a week later, on November 30, in the church of Salló. The memorial plaque to the fallen heroes, which is attached to the right wall of the belfry, was consecrated at the same time as the bell. The plaque was placed there by János Pólya and his wife Erzsébet Oroszi at their own expense, in memory of their only son, Jónás, who fell in World War I.
