It is likely that the hussar served in the mobile division of the Komárom castle guard. During the 1848/49 War of Independence, battles also took place near Hetény. The most famous was in the Csenke forest belonging to the settlement. Imperial General Pott's troops were forced to retreat. On September 5, 1849, a Cossack troop of almost 300 people was repelled directly near Hetény.
