Gyula Hegyi's memorial cross for the Hungarian people's uprising

Gyula Hegyi, a nationalist, gave his life for his Hungarian homeland during the First World War. The cross that commemorates his memory can be seen on the right side of the road leading from the village to Madarász.

This holy sign of our salvation / was erected in memory of Gyula Hegyi / 13th honvéd gy. e., a nationalist / who died a heroic death for his homeland on the Russian / battlefield on June 22, 1916 / at the age of 37 and was laid to rest in Volhynia in the hope of resurrection / Renovata 2018
