The bell's ringing memorial plaque calls you home

Statue, monument, memorial plaque

The group of statues in front of the Roman Catholic church spans three periods. In 1820, Mr. József Lavitska had the high cross erected in honor of God. After the world wars, marble plaques from World War I and World War II were placed on both sides of the high cross. In 1997, on the occasion of the meeting of those who were deported from the village, a commemorative plaque (Hazahív a harangszó emléktábla) was placed on the high cross. ; ; The commemorative plaque was made by the municipal government on the occasion of the meeting of those who were deported from Szímő fifty years ago, the inauguration of which took place on October 25-26, 1997. A festive program was given by the Csemadok organization. At the installation of the memorial plaque, the Rozmaring singing group sang the song "Szózatot és Szülőfalum", and in the community center, they sang "Isten éld meg szép hazánakt", "Hol vagy magyar?", and András Bodonyi's "Felvidék" anthem, which brought tears to the eyes of those present. ; ; Templomkerti nagykereszt ; Memorial to the Heroes of World War I and II
