Imre Haydin, former member of parliament. Born on 18 Dec. 1866 in Trenčín. After graduating from high school, he completed his law studies in Bratislava. During his time as a lawyer, he played a major role in the life of the youth and as a newspaper writer, he actively participated in the movements of the Hungarians in Bratislava. During his time as a lawyer, he wrote and published "Hungary and the Polish War of Independence" and his independent works on the martyrs of Bratislava. After completing his law studies, he entered the service of Trenčín County, and also continued his literary work in Hungarian, German and Tot languages. His series of articles written about the Pan-Slavic danger attracted wider attention. In 1901 and 1905, the Várna district elected him as a representative with a Liberal Party program. In the 1906-1910 term, he was not a member of the House. In 1910, he won the mandate from his old district again, with a national labor party program.
