“The border cross along the road leading to Jánosháza may have been built in the second half of the 19th century. The cross, which stands on a brick pedestal, is now in a damaged state. There is a stone tablet built into the front of the pedestal, the Latin inscription of which (RENOVATA 1946 IN MEMORIAM GOUD NOSTER PAGUS INTACTUS EVADIT E BELLO MUNDANO SECUNDO) can be interpreted as follows: Repaired in 1946 in memory of the fact that the village emerged from the Second World War unscathed.”
