Two former recognized figures of public life, József Haskó (1828–1901) and József Vázsonyi (1847–1923), Catholic parish priests, rest next to each other in the Dunaszerdahely public cemetery. ; ; As one of the most active presidents of the Csallóköz Szerdahely Casino, Haskó was a recognized representative of cultural public life. He also had the Casino's former headquarters on Fő Street built (the savings bank building now stands in its place), but he was also the founder and president of the Dunaszerdahely Catholic Young Men's Association. ; ; Previously, the two parish priests awaited the resurrection in metal coffins in the crypt of the Kriha-style Jesus Heart Chapel of the Újfalu cemetery.
