Pastor István Hamar arrived in the village in 1948. He served in Kisújfalu from 1948 to 1973. During a very difficult period for the church, he stood by his congregation as a true pastor. Thanks to this, the complete exterior and interior renovation of the church and the parish could take place. Thanks to him, copies of the birth certificates that must be submitted to state agencies can still be found in the parish today. Many people still remember his blessed work today.
