Mound
The Mound Hill was created in the early Iron Age Hallstatt culture (8th-5th century BC). It was a burial custom of the time to build mounds over their graves. According to a local legend, the hill was carried by Turkish soldiers with their turbans to their pasha so that he could pitch his tent in a worthy place. ; In recent years, the villagers have witnessed an unfavorable process. It was feared that what had been preserved for nearly 3,000 years would fall victim to the “blessed” activities of modern high-performance agricultural machinery in a few decades. ; On a civic initiative, the structure of the Mound Hill has been protected and guarded from further deterioration by concrete pillars since the spring of 2014, thanks to the work of a group of enthusiastic volunteers. They are also trying to increase the protection of the area by planting trees in the near future.
