The Gánovce spa, the Aqua Spa Gánovce, is one of the oldest spas in Slovakia. The first written records of the beneficial effects of the medicinal water date back to 1549. ; The first chemical analysis was carried out in 1777, which showed the beneficial effects of the water. It is primarily recommended for people suffering from stomach acid problems and urinary tract diseases. With a temperature of 24°C, it was used for both spa treatments and drinking cures. In the 19th century, Ágoston Korponay had the first bathhouse, summer house, restaurant and pavilion built. ; After 1948, the spa was nationalized and then declared a state spa complex. The spa is an ideal choice for the treatment of skin diseases, musculoskeletal complaints, rehabilitation treatment after surgeries, and the treatment of rheumatism and diabetes. The spa began to decline in 1992, then reopened its doors in 2010, and has been welcoming those wishing to relax and recover ever since.
