He participated in the work of the Csemads, both nationally and locally. He played a significant role in expanding the opportunities for public education in the mother tongue. He was one of the Hungarian political figures in Slovakia who raised their voice against the so-called alternative education in the eighties and stood up for Hungarian school affairs in Slovakia. ; Between 1961-1989, he was the chairman of the Csemads district committee, and a member of the Csemads Central Presidency until 1989. ; He also considered embracing the DAC to be a matter of the heart. He played a major role in creating the conditions for DAC to achieve great success not only in the domestic championship but also on the international football scene in the eighties. He was the president of the football department for several years. He also played a role in the Jednota Consumer Cooperative and was a member of the cooperative's district presidency. ; In 1964, he became the president of the then city national committee. For more than a quarter of a century, until the change of regime in 1989, he held this responsible position, which was equivalent to today's mayor's position. The most active period of his life is inseparable from the development of Dunaszerdahely before 1989. He often walked the streets, knew every nook and cranny, and kept an eye on his beloved hometown.
