Grave of János Grusz

Cemeteries, tombstones, graves

Szepesszombat is one of the 16 historical towns of Szepes that King Sigismund pledged to Poland in 1412. The town's history is evidenced by its rich monuments. It has been a protected town since 1950. If we are looking for "Hungarian monuments" in the once Saxon settlement, we should visit the town's cemetery, but there is also a monument erected in the market square to the glory of the 1848 patriots.
