The grave of Count Gábor Zichy and his wife
Cemeteries, tombstones, grave sites
The owner of the Szentpéter castle was Gábor Zichy (son of Count Károly Zichy) in the second half of the 19th century. He had five children, including Miklós, the firstborn son, who sold the estate in 1914 after the outbreak of World War I due to large debts. He then joined the army and took part in the fighting. His wife (Countess Fábry) was a nurse in military hospitals. Both of them lost their lives and the whole village mourned when they were laid to rest in the family crypt in Szentpéter, where their little son, who died at the age of six, also sleeps his eternal sleep. ; The tombstones were renovated by József Jobbágy and his family in 2014.
