The grave of pharmacist János Gréb

János Gréb (* 1850 † 1920) pharmacist. Member of the MKE (Hungarian Carpathian Association) (1883-), representative of Szepesszombat. ; In addition to the settlements of the High Tatras that developed at an altitude of about 1000 m, the towns of the Low Tatras themselves also tried to establish small tourist and holiday resorts within their own borders. In Szepesszombat, pharmacist János Gréb was the initiator of this, who, in addition to the park, also established bathhouses and a restaurant here. The park gave the local citizens and travelers who came from far away but did not intend to visit the high-altitude health resort the opportunity to refresh themselves and enjoy the Tatra panorama. (Today, there is a bathing beach in the place of the former Gréb park.) ; Szepesszombaton Street also bears Gréb's name. ; The tomb of János Gréb and his large family is located in the fenced-off grave of his wife, Irma Hensch.
