The early Gothic Roman Catholic church of St. Simon and Jude (their feast day is October 28) in Görgő was built in the mid-13th century and rebuilt in the early 15th century. It was built as the patron church of the Görgey family. Its tower was renovated in the Renaissance style after the fire of 1708, and is crowned with sgraffito decoration and a battlement. It was restored in 1896. Its furnishings are Baroque. The altarpiece was painted by József Czauczik (1789-1857), born in Levoča, around 1830. ; ; In the garden of the church, some members of the Görgey family, as well as Count Vidor Csáky and his wife, sleep their eternal sleep.
