The grave of Mrs. Albert Görgey

Cemeteries, tombstones, grave sites

The Zsedényi family was one of the most important and richest families in the city of Levoča. Since the two Zsedényi sisters could no longer be buried in the Lutheran cemetery when they died, they were laid to rest in the city's public cemetery. Their tombstone was moved from the Lutheran cemetery, to the Probstner family cemetery, to its current location. On the back, it can still be read: INES v PFANNSCHMIEDT CEB. VON PROBSTNER. Linda Zsedényi married the last male member of the Görgey family of Toporc in 1912, Albert Görgey (May 30, 1882 - December 19, 1943). They had two daughters, Klára (1917-1988) and Éva (1920-2003), whose names are inscribed on their father's grave in Toporc.
