Ganymede Fountain
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
“In front of the theater, the Ganymede fountain is a special decoration of the square, which was commissioned by the Bratislava First Savings Bank at a cost of 40 thousand crowns in 1888 by Viktor Tilgner (a sculptor originally from Bratislava). The fountain is surrounded by a spacious courtyard with flower beds and 4 candelabra. The city allows water for this fountain from the city waterworks every year without charge, in 1903 22,800 cubic meters.”
