The Vigadó building, with its eclectic facade dating from the late 19th century, is still a defining scene of the city's social life. It has served as a casino, a meeting place for associations and craftsmen, an inn, a school, the Nógrád Museum and a library. It currently houses the City Library and the Fülek City Museum of Local Lore.
