The management of the Vágai Sport Club (Slovak: Športový Klub Váhovce) announced a survey among the sports-loving public in 2000. They asked the fans of the village team to put in the ballot boxes placed in the village the names of the eleven best football players of the 20th century in Vága. The most votes were received by the legendary player wearing the number 10 jersey, Róbert Forró (forward). The others, in order of the votes cast, were the following players: Jenő Horváth (midfielder), Zoltán Lulovics (midfielder), Jenő Hulák (forward), Igor Kamenár (forward), Gábor Czakó (forward), Imre Simkó (back), Tamás Puskás (forward) and Károly Kiss (back) with the same number of votes, Péter Szabó (goalkeeper), Miklós Recht (goalkeeper). ; ; Róbert Forró (Vága, December 20, 1953 - Bratislava, March 15, 2000) ; ; He was born in Vága, the second child of simple, everyday parents (father Dániel Forró, mother Terézia Szabó). From an early age, football was everything to him. At the age of 18, Róbert Forró – nicknamed Roba – was already one of the strengths of the adult team. For nearly three decades, he was the team's defining personality, the club's all-time most successful goalscorer. Several of the football teams in the then top Czechoslovak league (Zbrojovka Brno, Slovan Bratislava, Inter Bratislava, Spartak Trnava, Plastika Nitra) surrounded him, because they would have liked to see the goal-scoring striker in their team. He was a true local patriot, he only really wanted to play football in his home village. He felt good here, he was respected and loved here. He was a role model both professionally and personally. ; During his long and successful career, he contributed greatly to the successful performance of the football team and to the enhancement of the good reputation of the village. In memory of the greatest figure of Vága football, the Forró Róbert Memorial Tournament is usually organized. ; ; From the history of Vága footballl ; ; In 1935, teacher János Holub was the founder of football in Vága. The first match took place in 1936. This year we could meet the names of the following players: Gyula Hulák, István Horváth, Zoltán Horváth, István Zsigó, Gyula Forró, László Zsúrek, István Virágh, István Farkas, József Mrva, János Lulovics and Ferenc Virágh. The Vága team differed from other teams in the late 1930s in that it had a coach and full equipment. ; In 1949, the team was already playing championship matches. A new period began in Vága in 1956. More organized activity began. Until 1960, it was in the 3rd division of the district championship. In 1961-62, the team won the championship, and from the 3rd division of the district it was promoted to the 2nd division. After that, the Vága sports fans had to wait a total of 9 years for their team to win a championship. In 1971, the Vága eleven fought their way to the 1st division of the 1st division. From 1977, it was in the district 1st division of the 1st division of the A. division. In 1978, despite being a rookie, it reached 3rd place. In 1980, the team played in the highest division to date, the district championship. From 1980 onwards, they also played in the district championship! This was the greatest success in the club's history. ; On March 1, 1974, the new sports field was measured, and on May 14, 1977, the new sports field was ceremonially handed over. ; On the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vágai Sport Club and the 15th anniversary of the death of the greatest football player in Vágai football, based on a proposal submitted to the local government by Róbert Farkas on January 24, 2015, the municipal sports field has been called the Forró Róbert Sports Field since June 20, 2015.
