White Cross (White Image)

It used to stand in the northeastern part of the village, outside the village, next to the Pozsony road (GPS: 48.103903, 17.345230). It was moved to Vám Square on December 11, 2015, when it was rededicated. The rededicated ceremony was attended by the President of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér (who was a personal supporter of the statue renovation), who was welcomed by Péter Őry, the mayor of the settlement. The ceremony was attended by Éva Czimbalmosné Molnár, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Hungary to Bratislava, as well as representatives of the church. The statue was blessed by Róbert Masicza, the parish priest of the village. ; The renovation of the statue was initiated by the Szent Jakab Polgári Társulás, with the help of the Takács family, the descendants of Zsófia Füle and Jakab Sill, and was carried out with the support of the local government. ; ; It is made of sandstone, sometimes whitewashed, hence the popular name of the White Picture. The following inscription can be read on the marble slab formed like a tablet above the pedestal: ; Erected for the glory of God ; Sill Jakabné Zsófia Füle ; 1913 ; Above it, in a cave-like recess between two half-columns, stands the statue of the Virgin Mary's mother, Saint Anne praying. Above this, on another pedestal stands the cross, with the crucified Christ on it with a crown of thorns on his head. The inscription INRI is on the upper arm of the cross. Both the crucified and Saint Anne figures are extremely finely crafted works, the work of the stonemason Hild L. from Sopron. It is fenced with an iron grate. The White Picture once stood on the edge of the pasture, and the girls would occasionally weave a wreath on Saint Anne's head.
