The former Ekecs reverend was born in Komárom in 1826. He came from a family of craftsmen. He completed his studies in Komárom and Debrecen. He taught at the elementary school in Békés. ; He was a lieutenant in the Hungarian Army in 1848/49. He was present in Transylvania, and was present at the fall of Pál Vasvári on July 13, 1849, in the mountains of Gyula. After the War of Independence, he first taught at the Reformed Gymnasium in Komárom, then became an assistant pastor in Hetény. He is credited with discovering and publishing the original letter of Csokonai to Lilla written on March 12, 1798, in the Vasárnapi Újság in 1857. In 1856, he became the pastor of the village of Ekecs. He died here on January 13, 1888.
