The memorial plaque can be seen on the wall of the provost's residence. The gilding of the letters has completely disappeared, making the text very difficult to read. However, we can be glad that the plaque is still in place. ; János Jácint Rónay (Leitzinger until 1848) (Székesfehérvár, May 13, 1814 – Bratislava, April 17, 1889) Grand Provost of Bratislava, elected Bishop of Szkodár, a real inner privy councilor, Benedictine teacher, natural scientist, writer, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He dealt with psychology, including characterology. He introduced and first spread Darwinism in Hungary. He was the tutor of Kossuth's children, as well as of Crown Prince Rudolf and Archduchess Maria Valéria. ; On 5 February 1875, he received an official appointment from the court (at the request of Queen Elizabeth), in which he was entrusted with the upbringing and education of Archduchess Maria Valeria, also entirely in Hungarian. He was Maria Valeria's tutor until 1883, during which time he wrote her memoirs, the first five volumes of which - extending to 1873 - were printed in five to ten copies, of which he gave one copy to the king, one to the queen, one to the heir to the throne, one to Maria Valeria, one to Archduke Joseph, and one to Primate János Simor (he ordered the rest to be distributed after his death: Hungarian Academy of Sciences, National Museum, Pannonhalma Abbey). The other four volumes remained in manuscript, due to the confidential nature of the time spent with the royal family. He was also the consecrator of Mária Valéria in the chapel of Schönbrunn Palace on January 14, 1882. Rónay administered the last rites to the dying Ferenc Deák on January 26, 1876, and also wrote down the scene. He also accompanied Mária Valéria to the funeral of the wise man of the Fatherland. Mária Valéria was released from her upbringing on May 29, 1883. He received further recognition for his work, receiving the Grand Cross of the Order of the Iron Crown.
