Surgeon Hugó Schmid was born in Gödöllő in 1852 and died in Bratislava in 1912. He completed his studies in Pest and Vienna. He first worked in Budapest, then from 1885 he was the chief physician of the "national surgical department" in Bratislava. He is the author of several medical textbooks and has published numerous studies in specialist journals. ; The tombstone (which is located at the junction of the eastern and northern fence wings of the cemetery) was created by Róbert Kühmayer (1883-1972) in 1913.
