... Dr. Polnisch Arthur, who, since the establishment of the hospital (October 1900), with his great knowledge and self-sacrificing work, has earned indelible merits for the suffering and the patients seeking healing in the hospital, resigned from his position as chief physician on December 31, 1913. The parish took note of the resignation of Dr. Polnisch Arthur with great regret and expressed its deeply felt gratitude for the devoted, tireless work that he had performed since the hospital's establishment. In recognition of his merits, the parish elected him the honorary director-chief physician of the Herrmann Gusztáv Hospital, a position he faithfully held until his death, on February 9, 1914. His death caused great sorrow not only in the entire city and county, but especially in our parish, because with his upright soul and bright, pure character he earned the love of everyone. In his place, Dr. Hritz Arthur was elected as the director-chief physician, and Dr. Sándor Nagy was appointed as his assistant physician. Both of them performed their medical duties professionally and with complete dedication until the outbreak of war. When the war broke out, both doctors were called up for military service. ... ; Dr. Polnisch Arthur's tomb can be seen in Sector II of the cemetery.
