Dr. László Kathona was born in Rimaszécs in 1864. He was the chief prosecutor of Rozsnyó, the chief guardian of the Reformed diocese, and a member of the city's representative body. László Kathona's house hosted the social, public education, literary and political weekly Sajó-Vidék for thirty years (Rozsnyó, May 1, 1898–December 2, 1944). After a short break (1918–1919), it continued to appear after the change of empire, and played an important role in the cultural and social life of Rozsnyó and Gömör. Until 1918, it belonged to the People's Party, and between 1919–38, it belonged to the National Christian Socialist Party. It appeared on pages 4–8.
