Eduard Beneš's presidential decree of 1945/88 allowed all men and women in Czechoslovakia to be forced to work. The deportation in Nagymácséd lasted three days (January 30-31, 1947 and February 1). During this time, 578 people were taken to forced labor. ; The deportation of Hungarians from Nagymácséd to Hungary began on April 1, 1947 and ended on May 15. A total of 61 families were deported. Their places were taken by Slovaks from Hungary who had voluntarily resettled.
