Izabella Danter

* Bratislava, March 27, 1955 – / ethnographer, museologist ; ; He graduated from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Senj in 1973, and obtained a diploma in ethnography from the Comenius University in Bratislava in 1978, then a doctoral degree in 1981. Between 1978 and 1985, he worked at the Csallóközi Museum in Dunaszerdahely, and from 1986 at the Museum of Local History in Galanta. In 1999, he established the Mátyusföld Museological Society for the professional documentation of the country houses and ethnographic and local history collections of the Hungarian-speaking area of Slovakia. In 2001, as the head of the Documentation Center for Hungarian Culture, established as an independent department of the Slovak National Museum, and then as an external employee, he played a decisive role in the implementation of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Hungarian Culture in Slovakia in Bratislava (2003). He has edited several ethnographic and local history publications, and in 2002 he launched the Museological Booklets series. He organizes regular training for the leaders of Hungarian country houses in Slovakia. On his initiative, the staff of local history and regional museums operating in the Hungarian-populated Slovak areas hold an annual joint meeting.
