The roadside cross stands in the village of Doghel, where the road turns towards Szap (right) and Balony (left). The cross was erected in 1886 by the nobleman Sándor Puha and his wife Anna Miklós. The people of Csiliznyárad stood around this cross to celebrate the autumn litany before the church was built. The church monument, which had been damaged in the meantime, was renovated by the Csiliznyárad Municipality.
