Csicso Country House
Country house, craft house
The Csicsó Country House, Location: Felső utca 7, Csicsó, Slovakia – Csallóköz ; Handed over: November 3, 1984. Founder: Géza Nagy ; Géza Nagy remembers: Uncle János Gőgh addressed me, who offered me his parental house, which was left to him at the time, with these words: “Géza, you are such a sensible man, I will give you this old house. I don’t know what to do with it anymore, I just ask you to air it out every week.” Since this house was one of the last representatives of folk architecture in the village, at about 150 years old, I immediately started to create a country house out of it, taking advantage of the opportunity. ; People came at Géza Nagy’s first call. Primarily older people provided practical help, with their manual labor. The residents enthusiastically offered their treasures, with which they then richly furnished the house. Thus, the Csíssó country house became the second living country house in the Komárom district after the Martos one, where traditional days were organized annually. The country house consists of a room, a so-called open kitchen and a pantry. The room has a furnace for heating, and the kitchen has a baking oven and a rakottsparhelt. Tools were exhibited in the pantry. There was an attic access at the end of the house, and a dug well in the yard. These were demolished. ; Unfortunately, the country house is in poor condition today, it has since been revealed that the ownership has not been settled, the owners are unknown, so the country house has not been looked after. It is in urgent need of renovation.
