Brodik Cross
Sacred monument
“The cross is made of gray artificial stone with a colored cast iron corpus. Christ’s body is white, the hair and the blanket are brown. The cross was surrounded by a wrought iron fence. … There is also a cross foundation in the parish archives, which was also commemorated by Lajos Danczi (local parish priest – ed.), and which contains the following: “The foundation of the respected landowner Mr. Brodik Lambert was laid on January 23, 1908, for the maintenance of the stone cross he erected, and he transferred 12 squares around the cross to the church in Zsély. Approved on June 11, 1908, No. 3471. The foundation stone of the foundation is 50 cor., interest 1.87.” (Danczi, 1975:86)”
