The grave of Péter Bozsik

Cemeteries, tombstones, graves

Péter Bozsik was born in Magyarbél on June 27, 1918. He lived the life of a true village child with 4 brothers and the love of parents from whom he received the appreciation of human work and the true power of faith. After completing his elementary school, he attended the Bratislava Commercial Academy. He used his knowledge in his office work. World War II caught up with him too, and he was taken prisoner by the Russians in Siberia for seven years. The anxiety of his parents (whose four sons were in the war) was comforted by a letter from the front, with the hope of his return. Returning home from a distant land, he enrolled in teacher training, and during his studies he became a teacher at the Jókai Hungarian Primary School. In February 1955, he was invited to administer the Rétei Hungarian-medium Primary School, which he accepted. He held this position until 1979, when he retired. Under his directorship, the school reached 80 students, with three teachers. It is important to mention that he treated religious education, which was deeply forbidden under socialism, in an exemplary manner in his school, accepting the associated hardships. He nurtured his relationship with his students with love and followed their fate and studies with great attention. Several Hungarian newspapers in Slovakia wrote appreciatively about the school's successes. (Kis iskola nagy szállókkel, Új Szó, Utolsó csengetés, HÉT). Our village not only meant the fulfillment of his vocation, but also became his second home. Here he met his wife, Eszter Bozsikné Poór, with whom he lived an exemplary marriage and raised their two daughters. He never left his native village, but at least treated Réte with as much love as if it were a gift of opportunity, which must be greatly appreciated and respected. To this end, he did everything for the village, and for the Hungarian parents, children, and community living there. He did all this without regard to nationality, religion, or origin. For years, he was the secretary of the village's national committee, and he treated his duties arising from this almost as a private matter, and he solved the problems of people who needed his advice and help. He worked closely with the basic organization of the Csemadok. Although he lived his retirement years as a widow, the love of his family and the respect of the village for him helped him through the difficulties. On September 22, 1998, the teacher BÁCSI, who never liked to be called Mister Teacher or Principal, quietly left this world. ;

(The family's memory.)

; "From February 1, 1955, the school principal was Péter Bozsik, who, in addition to his teaching work, also took great care to make school life more colorful. The first event that aroused great interest not only among the students, but also among the parents was associated with this school year - the fairy tale play Cinderella was presented in the local community center." ;
