As a sign of respect, he was laid to rest in front of the main altar of the church. Later, this fact was mentioned in several publications. His grave has not yet been discovered. ; The following entry can be found in the register of the dead: ; “The Most Reverend István Borsoss, parish priest of Kőhídgyarmat and Libád parish, died on 12th April 1741 in the 13th year of his operation. He was laid to rest in front of the main altar of St. Móric’s church at the age of 52. Remember: because you too will die someday. While this new church is being built, your body is resting in the middle of the church in the front of the unconsecrated church, which this letter excerpt tells about.”
