Tibor Blattny (1883-1969) was born in Košice and studied forestry at Selmec between 1900 and 1903. He passed the state examination in 1905 and from 1906 to 1916, until the death of Lajos Fekete, he worked as a collaborator in the plant geographical mapping of the entire country. After the Trianon decision, he entered the service of the Czechoslovak State Forestry and retired in 1945. His literary activity related to the floristic plant geography of our country is significant.
