Characters: ANGEL, SHOPPER, OLD MAN ; ; The angel brought the nativity scene, the old man and the shopkeeper had a rattle in their hands. They welcomed them in. ; ; Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ! Is it permissible to bring the little Jesus in? ; ; (If the household allowed it, then the angel brought the nativity scene) ; ; ANGEL ; Bethlehem shines like fire, ; An innocent, pure virgin entered it. ; Who gave birth to Jesus, and having kept Jesus, ; Glory, shopkeeper, come in! ; ; (Then the shopkeeper came in, he had a rattle in his hand. He knelt down in front of the nativity scene and began:) ; ; SHOPPER ; I have come from a far country, ; I even crossed the puddles of the Perenciás Sea. ; I can't wait to tell you this new news, ; Messiah, baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem. ; ; ANGEL ; Forward, shepherd, forward, ; Carry the lamp forward, ; The stars are shining, ; Who sparkle, twinkle in the sky, ; Watch out for the sky! ; Gloria! Old man, come in! ; ; OLD MAN ; May God give you a bacon-filled good evening! ; I see, little Jesus, your little feet are cold, ; I will sew you a little red boot from tarred yarn. ; So you, shepherd, have you looked after my flock like this? ; I will give you a stick. ; ; (He raises his rattle stick and threatens the shepherd) ; ; I will cut six inches of bacon from your back, ; From that I will sew little red boots for the little Jesus. ; ; (They lay down on the ground and pretended to be asleep) ; ; ANGEL ; ; Glory!
