Béle Cemetery Grand Cross

Béle (also known as Nagybélle, in Slovak Jánošíkovo na Ostrove, formerly Malá Belá) is located 5 km west of Ekecs, along the side road to Alistál, west of the Határ Canal. Before World War II, the puszta was the estate of the Nyáry Counts, and after 1945, 35 Slovak families from Terhely were settled here. In 1948, it became part of the state farm of Nagymegyer, at which time most of the settlers moved away. Béle was considered a central farm, the farm was dismantled in the early 1990s, the granary and the farm buildings, which are monuments, did not survive, only the residential buildings.
