Bódog Bátori-Schulcz (Körmöcbánya, January 4, 1804 – Garamkövesd, March 8, 1885) was a colonel of the Hungarian army, who participated in 23 battles of the Hungarian War of Independence of 1848-49 and distinguished himself. ; He received the name Bátori from his soldiers during the fighting, which he officially adopted. After the War of Independence, he lived in complete seclusion with the financial support of his brother, the parish priest of Garamkövesd, Sulcz. He was imprisoned by the imperialists in 1850 and interrogated twice more.

"Homeland before everything!" / (Kölcsey) / BÁTORI SULCZ BÓDOG lived within the walls of this house until his death after the defeat of the War of Independence / 1804-1885 / colonel of the Hungarian Army / heroic defender of Komárom Castle. / In tribute to his memory, the municipality of Garamkövesd had it erected in 2004.
