Béla Bartók memorial plaque

After the death of Béla Bartók's father, his mother found work in various cities, and they finally moved to Bratislava in 1888 and lived at Kórház utca 3. ; Bartók was a student at the Royal Catholic Gymnasium in Bratislava between 1892 and 1899 (with a one-year break). He received piano and composition lessons from László Erkel (son of Ferenc Erkel, creator of our great national operas). ; The relief plaque in Slovak language commemorating his student years in Bratislava can be seen in Kórház utca. The plaque was made by Ladislav Snopek (1919 - 2010).
