Gábor Baross' relief and memorial plaque
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
On the main square of Léva, on the corner of the so-called Kálvin-udvar, there is a small 33×29 cm relief by Gábor Baross. Gábor Baross graduated from the so-called small gymnasium in Léva between 1857 and 1861 with the Piarists. Then in the summer of 1891 he paid an official visit to Léva, visiting his former school, the Piarist gymnasium. A plaque commemorates him on the wall of his student residence, on Zöldkert Street. Since May 9, 1999, a relief plaque has been erected on the corner of Kálvin-udvar to commemorate the famous student of Léva. ; Next to the plaque, there is also a white marble plaque. The inscription (unfortunately very faintly visible): 1857-1861 WAS A STUDENT OF THE CITY OF LÉVA
